On Friday, September 24th, 2021 the 6th Fish Festival of the local Rotary Club Huizen took place in the Dutch city of Huizen. DELKESKAMP also started with one of 21 “botters” (old wooden sailing boats) for a good cause.
In addition to the Dutch skipper, there were Stefan & Petra Delkeskamp, Clemens & Irma Esman (Dutch commercial agency) and a number of Dutch packaging customers for up to 12 people. on board every ship.
The start went well at first and the DELKESKAMP crew was doing very well when the entire fog sail broke loose in quite stormy gusts of wind (4-5) and could not be reattached despite all the strength.
In the end, everyone took it on in a sporty way according to the motto “Being there is everything” and the winners were celebrated into the night with the winners in the harbor with live music, drinks, Dutch Borrelhapjes and an impressive total proceeds for children in the region (€ 25,000) .
